We've just hit 215,000 members.
More than 2,000 people a day have joined us since our historic win in the Gorton and Denton by-election. Come and be a part of the movement which is making hope normal again. Join us π
As I have said since Feb 2025, Trump is in office to solve Putin's problems. How else are you going to ensure that Putin's failed state becomes prosperous? it is already having to be propped up by China.
Cutting energy bills, tackling climate change, and protecting skilled jobs are key priorities for this UK Labour Government.
Great to see some accountability!
The other absolute scandal is that healthcare workers still can't access suitable PPE when working with patients with airborne infectious diseases. Indoor air quality in our hospitals is often very poor. No one should be exposed to #LongCovid risks at work!
Hope he includes the party's policy on clean air to prevent airborne infections in schools, impacting teachers & children. Not just something we've learned from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, (including brain fog & Long Covid) but important for measles, RSV, Flu and more...
βThis is a moment for every journalist, every lawmaker, and every American to break the taboo of calling out and confronting the dangerous threat of Christian nationalism before this madness causes unthinkable damage to our country and the world.β
We have always been at war with Eastasia.
"Everyone is 12" theory remains undefeated.
At this point, I think there might literally be a 7th grade boy running White House comms.
The "empathy is a sin" message is especially popular among the tech ideologues.
like i said this when the US attacked venezuela. we are hurdling back into an extremely violent world, one which hasn't really existed since the 1700s and which nobody since hitler has really tried to enact. and it's entirely on trump's hands
there's a thing I like to call "load-bearing assumptions", that you don't notice until they're suddenly gone (e.g the air you breath has oxygen in it).
the post-ww2 order is a load-bearing assumption for basically the entirety of american life. trump took a sledgehammer to it in the last 90 days.
This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

War is the worst of human endeavors, but the reason militaries do not fight by pure thuggery, as the United States now does, is that it ultimately puts us more at risk and defiles us as a country. What are we even fighting for if we are nothing but the biggest bully on the block?
"We will defend British nationals" & "cooperating with the US military" are very different things. The former is uncontroversially the duty of the British Government. The latter risks complicity with ongoing illegal aggression.
A green graphic with the questions: Whether the UK Government will have the ability to approve or refuse individual targets before the United States conducts strikes from UK military bases in Iran? Whether each individual use of UK military bases by US forces will be subject to a UK Government assessment to ensure that the action is consistent with international law? Whether the Government will publish a list of United States military strikes that have used UK military bases? Whether the Government will publish a list of any civilian deaths that result from US military strikes that have used UK military bases?
I oppose the decision to allow Trump to use UK bases in the bombing of Iran.
I fear this will embroil the UK in attacks that breach international law and cause civilian deaths.
I've submitted these Parliamentary Questions to the Government.
The public has a right to know.
Well said, Sir! ππ
Except he clearly thinks Starmer's U-turn on allowing the US to use our bases amounts to, as he rather graphically expressed it: "putting our hand into the mangle".
The Representation of the People Bill contains some useful measures, but it must go further β put proportional representation on the statute books, shut loopholes that let dark money in, and modernise media platform oversights to stop misinformation and disinformation.
Hi Sian! Our fab campaign group @greensagainstcovid.bsky.social are calling for #CleanAir in schools, alongside groups like @cleanair4kids.bsky.social & @cvcev.bsky.social. This is crucial to enable full inclusion of disabled & clinically vulnerable kids, & to protect all our kids from #LongCovid
Image is a stack of copies of the Bill on a dark wood table. The front page reads: A BILL TO Establish the right to breathe clean air; to require the Secretary of State toachieve and maintain clean air in England; to make provision about environmental targets and minimum standards in relation to clean air; to make provision about the powers, duties and functions of public bodies in England in relation to air pollution; to give the Office for Environmental Protection additional powers and duties related to clean air; to require the Secretary of State to comply with the United Nations Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution; to require the Secretary of State and public authorities to apply specified environmental principles in carrying out their duties under this Act; and for connected purposes.
I am so proud to have introduced this Bill to Parliament last year with cross-party support.
I am determined to see Ellaβs Law voted on and passed through Parliament, and I strongly urge the Govt to adopt it in the upcoming Kingβs Speech.
Whatever it takes, this vital Bill must become law.
Image shows Sian Berry stood to the left of campaigner Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, and surrounded by a group of clean air campaigners. All of them are smiling and holding a copy of Ella's Law - the Clean Air (Human Rights Bill).
Image shows Rosamund Adoo-Kiss-Debrah sat next to Sian with a copy of Ella's Law on the table in front of them. They are both reading the Bill that is named in memory of Rosamund's daughter Ella who died aged nine due to exposure to air pollution.
Ellaβs Law has been published π
No child should have the growth of their lungs stunted because of dirty air where they live and play, yet this is the reality of air pollution in England. Ellaβs Law would change this.
My thanks to Rosamund and all the hard-working campaigners demanding change.
What did he say that you take issue with? (Apart from "Cyprus is a NATO ally" & "we are sending tycoons")
If Iran attacks UK assets or our non-aggressor Gulf State allies, we are obligated to defend them. If such an attack is genuinely imminent, pre-emptive action is not unlawful.
Happy Friday everyone - here with a quick update on what I've been up to as your MP this week!
"Donald Trump has warned there will be βno deal with Iran except unconditional surrenderβ in his latest rant, as the Middle East is embroiled in the seventh day of a deadly conflict."
The Independent not pulling its punches today! Bravo!
Israeli forces launching massive airstrikes in southern Beirut only hours after issuing an evacuation order for the over 500,000 people living there displays an utter disregard for civilian lives. We saw these patterns in Gaza - it cannot happen again in Lebanon.
www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
More than 1200 people have been killed across Iran, with many more injured and hospitals under attack.
No nation should be able to break intl law with impunity - civilians and healthcare facilities must be protected and those responsible for illegal attacks held to account.
βWhether youβre a fan of the Prime Minister or not, it takes a lot to stand up to President Trump; the bottom line is that itβs not the war for us to go into."
@ruthcadbury.bsky.social
It doesn't look like they will be using UK bases solely for defensive purposes.
"The US will use British bases to increase the number of strikes on Iran βdramaticallyβ, Pete Hegseth has said.
The US defence secretary said it was βunfortunateβ that Britain did not initially approve the use of its bases β including Diego Garcia in the Chagos Islands β βbut we got thereβ
