The fact that Matt Goodwin blamed Reform’s defeat last night on ‘a coalition of Islamists and woke progressives’ sums up Reform in a nutshell. Racist, regressive and so, so bitter.

It really is. A proper slow burner that’s just full of charm and gentle humour. A welcome antidote to everything else that’s going on in the world right now.

It’s had rave reviews and good ratings. They’d be mad to not give it another series. So much more we need to know!

Astonishing stuff!

I’ve really grown to hate BBC’s coverage of athletics over the years. Never ending cuts back to he studio for pointless punditry when there are actual live events going on. The aforementioned overhyping. Then it’s all increased tenfold for the Lympics coverage. TNT have been slightly better.

Dear me, the cricket is even worse than before. I hope Sri Lanka put us out of our misery quickly.

Well 5 medals was the target and 5 medals is we got. 3 of them bein Gold was a Brucie Bonus. Ignore the naysayers, with several close calls for Bronze medals too, this was a really good Wintery Lympics for Team GB.

It’s one of the reasons I used to prefer watching on Eurosport. No pundits, no puff-pieces, just live action with no regional bias. I miss it!

But yes, the alliterative days is a definite 2012 hangover. They were gutted yesterday when this halfpipe final was postponed and their whole ‘Super Saturday’ bollox was null and void.
