I do not like the weird high/hangover feeling I get from melatonin.
The angry part of Bluesky remembered KOSA (now under the Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act, or H.R. 7757) exists but rather yell at you I'll say:
If you have REALLY bad anxiety (like me!), you can call your reps after hours! Voicemail counts! The site 5Calls give you a script to read off of:
The way I look at it, if you preorder a book 8 months before its publication, when you get it it's basically free.
My dad used to collect these!
A porky pig character sheet from 1937
An Elmer fudd character sheet
A storyboard drawing of the sheepdog from the wile e coyote and sheepdog cartoons
A bob clampett bugs Bunny character sheet
Went to an exhibit last weekend that included a bunch of character sheets and animation cells and promotional materials from Looney Tunes history and it was amazing.
As a friend of mine puts it, dogs believe they can eat anything, and they are technically correct: anything is edibleβ¦at least once. π¬
Losing an embassy is only a political disaster if it comes from the Benghazi region of Libya. Otherwise itβs just sparkling property renovations.
When men's workload is automated, it's genius; when women's workload is automated it's a character flaw and morally questionable.

β¦except they already took off everything actually unnecessary, and so are trying to convince us that @silver-chipmunk.bsky.social Discord is an unnecessary app taking up too much room.
All she uses are Discord, Teams, Zoom, Kindle, a faux!office app, and a browser. That seems pretty minimal!)
Appreciated!
(Basically, the laptop has sucked since the beginning, but has been getting worse, so weβre trying to deal with it. Best Buy, where she bought it, kicked us to HP because itβs under HP warranty. Fair! HP then spent hours trying to fix it, but the answer seems to be βitβs too fullβ
1/2
I think the person we spoke to (for hours last night & hours again today) tried all that.
We at least pushed enough that weβre being sent to the warranty department.
I basically just wanted to know if βsorry, the laptop we sold you in 2025 canβt run Discordβ was as off as it sounded.
Thank you!!!
(That said, I can suggest to @silver-chipmunk.bsky.social that she use a different browser. I donβt think sheβs particularly attached to Chrome.)
To be clear: theyβre not saying not to have it on when not in use; theyβre saying to delete the app because itβs taking up too much room. And the same with Discord.
(They keep referring to these two programsβwhich along with Teams + Chrome are the only ones she usesβas βunnecessary appsβ!)
Dunno when the laptop was manufactured, but she bought it last summer. (Purchased inβ¦June, I believe? Shipped in August; warranty good until this coming July.)
jewishinsider.com But according to a person who socialized with Platner when he was living in Washington, D.C., more than a decade ago, Platner had specifically acknowledged that the tattoo was a Totenkopf, the "death's head" symbol adopted by an infamous Nazi SS unit that guarded concentration camps in World War II. "He said, 'Oh, this is my Totenkopf," the former acquaintance told Jewish Insider recently, speaking on the condition of anonymity to address a sensitive issue. "He said it in a cutesy little way." The exchange occurred in 2012 at Tune Inn, a popular dive on Capitol Hill where Platner later worked as a bartender and was a frequent patron while he attended The George Washington University on the G.I. bill, according to the former acquaintance. He would often take his shirt off drinking with friends late at night at the bar, and on at least one occasion had stated he knew what the tattoo represented, the former acquaintance recalled. Platner gave varying accounts of the image during this time, saying at one point he was aware it was a Totenkopf when he had first gotten the tattoo several years prior and at another time claiming he had not known, according to the former acquaintance.
This would be the same bar where showed off his Nazi tattoo and called it a totenkopf?
(To be clear, it was a very inexpensive laptop, but still: arenβt apps like Discord kind of standard at this point? Like, I feel like this is only slightly more ridiculous than saying βwell, just donβt use Microsoft Office!β But I donβt know if my feeling about that is correct.)
I need opinions from folks who know more about tech stuff than I do.
@silver-chipmunk.bsky.social has a laptop that has not worked properly since she got it last summer.
Itβs has been getting worse, so we called HP.
Their suggestion was to not use apps like Discord or Zoom.
Is this reasonable?
Words, what do they mean
The desperate attempt at humor will continue until the world is no longer so heartless and grim my god it is so grim
If you're doomscrolling, guess what? So far there are 51 kΔkΔpΕ chicks hatched and thriving this season, the same number of birds as we had in TOTAL in the 90s! Only one chick has died and there are still fertile eggs waiting to hatch!
Eddie driving again btw, the writers said they did NOT want us calling him a passenger princess anymore.
But that wonβt stop me from calling him a pillow princess.

Whoa!!!
I mean, Iβm not sure heβll ever have that kind of adrenaline again. But I feel like itβs been pretty well implied that Buckβs the heavier lifter.
oh for fucks's sake ("Gertner")
siri can you explain to the nice people why some Jewish last names sound German
(I'm walking around with the name of the town my ancestors were kicked out of in 1520, for example.)
Trump's daughter is Jewish and he's a fucking antisemite.
This is not hard, my friend.
Lotta people in interracial relationships can talk about the way racism plays / played out in their relationships, or trans-racial adoptees can talk about the same.
Your fucking point is what exactly.
Right?
Yes, but also no: I do not understand why they did it so that Eddie did the heavier stuff and Buck did more of the running when itβs canon (from the beenado) that Eddieβs the fastest!
