For several years I actually practiced witchcraft - eclectically, but largely a mix of Gardnerian Wicca and Stregheria

And while I ultimately concluded it was all hokum, it was still interesting to explore my spirituality and I still love the aesthetic of witchy things

Now, as a man in my 30s

I’ve see enough of this world to know how fucked up a lot of it is.

There are things no loving god would ever allow, and so truly I believe there is no god. At least not one worth worshipping.

Every thing good in this world comes from this world

Then for a few years I decided to try exploring my spirituality!

I got really into Witchcraft. I mostly practiced a mix of Stregaria and Gardnerian Wicca

Though the more I practiced, the more O researched, and the more I tried to interact with other Wiccans the more I realized it was ALL bunk!

So naturally they kicked me out lol!

For years I considered myself agonstic though - my reasoning being that “well just because we don’t know *now* doesn’t mean we never will”

Basically the praying never made sense to me - it seemed like something out of game or book and felt like grown adults playing pretend

Made worse by reading the bible itself which felt like a really dense fantasy novel

I eventually told the Principal that this convinced me God wasn’t real

After that I lived with my dad and despite his faults he did always encourage me to think for myself and to base my understanding in empirical evidence

Yet in 4th grade he sent me to catholic school—I lasted a little over a month

When I was very young I lived with my mother and went to a catholic preschool.

I was too young to even really grasp the concept of religion then and mostly just looked forward to snack time

When we went to church (yes they made preschoolers go to church lol) I had no idea what was happening

I had a weird relationship with Religion growing up

Dad’s side was italian and catholic

Mom’s side was german and catholic

But my mother was non-denominational - she believes in God, she just thinks catholicism kinda sucks

And my dad was agnostic- for all his faults he tries to be logical
