well those are two very different families. malcom is about a very poor family constantly in some financial struggle and really messy complicated people, like their all in their own ways pretty bad people.

i never saw it as mean spirited more than just immensly messy, their are a highly disfunctional unorganized family who despite it all love eachother to bits despite how hard it is for anyone to show it. also its just absolutley hilarious its so so funny
