In Seattle, we ourselves, with the help of community groups, tracked down where our bicycles, stolen from our garage, were kept. We tried to work with police to recover them. SPD did not once even send an officer, despite their (already outrageous) policy that they would, if the case was „solvable“.
Every city in the US is like this. Cops do whatever they want with almost no accountability, while milking taxpayers for outrageous overtime, and if you’re a public official who dares to address this their unions will slander & demonize you. But let’s keep criticizing public school teachers though.
