I can't watch anything with scumbag Hammer. His whole family line are sociopaths. There's a documentary on them but I can't recall the title. Their dysfunction and evil goes back generations!
Glad I skipped this one, almost watched it two nights ago without realizing who was in it.
That's exactly what it feels like trying to talk to them. My Evangelical aunt would just hop immediately to a new topic if you confronted her calmly with facts, rapidly from topic to topic until you were overwhelmed with bullshit.
They've had 40 years to be programmed by the Reagan era, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, televangelists, and the fall of public education. It's been a long fall. Telling them to watch other stuff doesn't work. Believe me, I've tried.
Maybe purple again, but unlikely to go blue. Unfortunately the people living there, for the most part, have no clue how poor they are, and how brainwashed they've let themselves become. It's tragic.

Here’s a thing. OK used to be purple. My county often had Dems in leadership. We got gerrymandered and Limbaugh’d and Fox News’d into a deep red state, but Dems still exist there.

Thinking back to that time Markwayne Dingleberry Mullins had an ethics inquiry for using his business vans (Mullins Plumbing) in his campaign ads, which was against the rules. Every time I passed one on the highway, I gave it the laser eye stare.

I just called my US senators and told them to publicly call for Tim Sheehy to be expelled from the Senate for assaulting and apparently breaking the hand of a Marine today.
