It really sucks to see NBC Washington post a reel on Instagram that takes credit for sharing the DOGE USIP raid body cam footage with the world. They mention The Handbasket in the caption knowing full well that all people are going to see is the video. Pretty shameless.
I planned to share my report on the body cam footage early next week when I learned that a DC news station had obtained some of the footage as a result of my lawsuit and they were going to scoop me. After working on this for a year, I couldn't let that happen. Published 2 mins before they aired :)

No words to describe the experience of seeing an overhead corona aurora at THE SAME TIME as a total lunar eclipse--this happened last night on our aurora workshop. Crazy experience. The aurora was so bright and the snow glowed green under the blood moon.
The moon going from full moon to a red moon and starting to go back to a normal full moon, then my camera battery door fell off.

Yeah, this works pretty well for what it is. Battery charge lasts a couple weeks then need to run an extension cord out to charge. Or I think they have a version with a solar panel. Video clips are saved on the cloud for some period of time for free without an ongoing subscription needed.

Just an off the shelf Netvue feeder camera. It posts a 20-second AV snippet to the app if motion detected, which can be downloaded.

This is what the most distant confirmed galaxy looks like. The light we're receiving was emitted when the Universe was ~15x smaller in linear size than today, and right now it's ~30 billion light-years away from us. The light was emitted when the Universe was <300 million years old. Pretty amazing!
