Don't get me wrong, the castalinis are responsible for results and haven't delivered. They could have spent more/better esp at key times. But they can never be the dodgers. Not even close. Not even close to being close. There's rich, and then there SUPER rich.

Castailis ENTIRE net worth is 400mm....Juan Soto alone makes 700mm. The dodgers USA TV deal pays them over 300mm per year, and they have another deal in Japan. The reds made 60mm from their TV deal last year, and currently don't even have one.

Yeah great point about the practicality of adding a "10th man". I guess they'd be looking for something creative late in the off-season like that Miley deal from last year. I've also been hoping for a SP/BP hybrid like littell or junis.

Yeah trading Singer feels like a huge risk. So many "workhorse" pitchers gone already in Barlow, littell, Martinez, etc. Still I could imagine a net gain if the return fills enough other needs, but unlikely everything lines up that well.

Dont they need to add SP depth? We have ~9, few of which have pitched a full season. 2 yrs ago we all agreed u need like 13 or 14, krall even said as much publicly. Last yr we were lucky big injuries were to depth (spiers, bwill, aguiar), but remember the sad Sept rotation of 2024 and 2023?
