Oncologist shared with me how hard this case is for him. I'm so disappointed in myself for missing this. I'm trying to find a space where I can be thankful though that we have a relationship where he felt comfortable enough to share his feelings with me.

One of my dearest patients is in the hospital. Very young and has opted to forgo treatment that could potentially help him live longer. Onc and I supported the patient and spouse.
In processing my own feelings, I completely forgot to support the oncologist. I be try to be for everyone.
