Movement kind of like that, yeah. Traditional turn based RPG combat movement. Fire your shot, cast a spell or move one space. My menu functions and takes input. But then the cursor to set your new position is not working. I’m gonna inspect my implementation closely tonight after work

My middle school best friend and I had installed his new 2GB HDD in his PC. We fired up the installer for Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries and for the first time ever, selected “Full Install.” We were giddy at all the room. Thought we’d never fill that much space. Hilarious in retrospect. Also, good game

Bruce Campbell posting on social media that he has cancer and it is “the treatable type, not the curable type.” And so he will be canceling cons and appearances to do treatment and be well enough to tour with his new movie this summer.

Hail to the king, baby. Sad news, I really like Bruce Campbell. I hope his treatment at least gives good quality of life through the end.

Honesty & Justice attained. I‘ve mastered all 8 Virtues on my way to become The Avatar. Endgame now right? Haha, no. Ultima IV should’ve added FedEx in front of its title Quest of the Avatar. Now I grab the 6 stones & 3 trinkets I don’t have, then make a key. Only then can I start the last dungeon.

Compassion attained. 2 Virtues remain in my Ultima IV play through

Valor, Honor, Humility, Spirituality, and now Sacrifice attained. Honesty, Compassion, and Justice are all that remain. I can feel I’m nearing the final push to complete Ultima IV.

Attained Spirituality in Ultima IV. I now have achieved it, in addition to the previously achieved Valor, Honor, and Humility. 4 down, 3 to go. I’ve already got the rune and instructions to elevate Sacrifice. Just gotta make my way to the shrine.

WGRealms Demon Throne is fan game/mod/total conversion of Duke Nukem 3D. It has RPG elements, two characters (including Duke himself), and lots of levels to play.

Resumed my Ultima IV playthrough on Sega Master System. Before the holidays I’d achieved the runes of Valor and Humility. Tonight I achieved Honor. Three of seven runes now collected. Not sure what the next one I’ll push for is. This game is truly outstanding. I’m having a ball

What an awful time to be broke

Good question. I am still stuck in a loop between the two. It's gotten to the point of me filing a complaint with the FCC. I've spent hours of today between both AT&T and Microsoft support, again. Still nada

The only hitch... I'm stuck in a loop where AT&T says Microsoft stopped giving them unlock codes for this device, but Microsoft says contact AT&T to unlock it... If there wasn't pain and suffering, did you even do a real side project?

Why am I posting about a Surface Duo from 2020? Because the community continues to release modern Android updates for it long after Microsoft ended support in 2023. So I'm presently working on unlocking my favorite phone ever to breathe new life into it and return it to daily driver status.

I mean, at least I can still multitask like a beast. AT&T support chat on the left screen, Microsoft one on the other. Definitely unlocking a lot of potential here

Being an early adopter of Microsoft's Surface Duo AT&T exclusive phone was, in retrospect, maybe not well thought out on my part. I love the phone - I stan tf out of it - but putting myself at an intersection where I need support from both of the world's shittiest corporations was... a choice.
