this set absolutely slapped. i already have mikey and leo built, working on metalhead, possibley building splinter radical rat and probably raph and leo but i might just convert my othari deck so that it can run raph and leo as commander

leo and mikey are built (no idea how good it is since i havent playtested the deck yet), don and mikey is the simic deck i wanna build. i pulled A LOT of mutants and ninjas so at somepoint i'll also be building splinter, radical rat and i still need to get metalhead built xD

thats valid, either way i love how you posted one of my current commanders and one of the other commanders that i'm wanting to build (gonna dismantle my ezuri, stalker of spheres just to build it)

if youre looking to build extra combat boros with raph and leo, or you wanna add white to a ninja build i highly recommend these 2

and thats not even all of them either. speaking of mikey and leo i just got done upgrading that deck by throwing in leader's talent, michelangelo game master, saved by the shell just to name a few

good news and bad news. good news is the deck is coming along rather nicely imo, just need a few more cards and than tweek the manabase so that it all flows nicely. heres the bad news. i'm pretty sure i dont have too many dual-lands left and i very much dont have the proper mana rocks

for my pre-release i built jund counters but i fucked up cause i put in too many lands and not enough cards that synergized well enough, but i pulled some spice for the deck so i'm pretty stoked to build it

as someone who plays the digimon card game and the dragonball card game, i'm on the fence with this ruling. on one hand it is very distracting which could potentially cause the player not doing this to misplay thus losing, on the other hand shuffling might be a way to help focus. thoughts?

i mean, one hand i get it cause it is very distracting, throws people off and ulitmately causes them to misplay thus potentially losing their matches, on the other if youre doing it cause it helps you think/focus than i think the rule is dumb. all depends on how you view it i s'pose

just got back from my lgs. games didnt go well, got praised for playing the deck i did cause NOONE plays it since there hasnt been any additional support for it in a long while, AND i managed to get some cards that i needed for a build AND 2 copies of a very pricey card

i got grass, which is weird because other than bug and fairy thats the type i tend to avoid using

yes! for awhile there innistrad midnight hunt was one of my faves, but i'm mentally stuck in bloomburrow and i cant wait to go back to that plane

i feel like its like hymn of hope. goes in lifegain decks, doesnt gain life it just replaces life totals, but with havoc festival i'm declaring it a burn card xD

you'd think the "when they die you can drop another one immediately without cost" would be great right? lack of cards to increase your memory so you can do more than just play solitaire. once again, i hate how my brain is working to make this deck work, i'll stop here. 4/4

to said lovely readers at home/work, allow me to elaborate; each digimon has a trait (think creature type in mtg), in the case of chessmon they all have the puppet trait. heres the part where i explain why the deck was inherentally bad. no memory cost reducers, no egg deck, and only 1 tamer 3/?

for those of you that play magic, the best way i can make the above post make sense is its like taking the worst possible commander, and managing to build a deck around it thats bracket 3+ all because newer cards have been printed thus making it more usable. 2/?

sooo ya, turns out with everything that's been printed from bt13 up until i think ex7 (probably later) i may have figured out how to make a chessmon deck not only playable but viable against some of the lower tier meta decks and i feel dirty because of it (yes i'm talking digimon) 1/?
