This. The loss of local news sources corresponds with the deterioration of local government as it operated unchecked. Fund the ones that are barely surviving. Rebuild the ones that died. There’s no quick fix.

Maybe the reason product managers are so good at utilizing genAI is because we’re already trained at telling enthusiastic but likely clueless people what to do.

Saw a gay pride post on Instagram. For fun, I began blocking the homophobic commenters. It says “block any other accounts they may have”. As I continued, more and more of the “new” commenters were already blocked. I didn’t realize just how many trolls were multiples of the same accounts. ‘Til now.
