I'm having to knit the sleeves, cuff up, on dpns, and it's nerve-wracking and I suck at it. But as I told myself tonight, "This is how we learn."
@weemallard

I hope you feel better soon!
Most of an electric-blue knitted hat.
A hat I was knitting for my niece's now ex-wife. I'm glad I didn't finish it for her, all things considered. The blue yarn is stunning, much more beautiful in person. Malabrigo does such fabulous things with color. Anyway, I will finish the hat and give it to *someone*.
That and Mother India I could never watch again.
It really is. I semi frequently think about him finding the necklace.
Pather Panchali was so sad.
The house symbolises the rotting core of imperial ambitions.
Yesterday I said to G., "This will either be hideous or a work of art." And he said, "Why not a work of hideous art?"
Why not, indeed!
The German twisted cast-on is like the slingshot cast-on, but with one extra step.
Knitting neurosis: I always use the German twisted cast-on because I'm afraid I'll forget how to do it.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope your pain subsides soon.
A series of knitted loops in a purple-alpaca and silver-thread yarn
The bottom half of the MONM Sakura Jacket is finished. On to the sleeves.
I will love Nordstrom forever because, aside from it being my version of Tiffany's, when 45 was elected they 86ed Ivanka's line of clothing.
Grandeur, even. Or however the hell you spell it
Roadkill! And delusions of grandure.
I remember that. It was so vile
That's a really good insight.
How Puss takes her treats nowadays. (Before she went blind, she used to hop up on @gsnorgathon.bsky.social's lap.)
I dreamed that I was on the bus with last year's Ikea Beauty. Every year Ikea chose a new Beauty (similar to a Victorian-era Professional Beauty) to be the face of the company. She was dark and regal, with big, dark eyes. I wanted to hear all about her experiences.
My favorite history play
Comedy: Twelfth Night
History: Richard II
Tragedy: Hamlet
I have four or five favorite movies, and this is one. It shows Seattle in all its drizzling glory.
Knitting this jacket with layers of neverending loops, when it seems like the row will never end I say "Still a long way to Seattle."
If you can find a copy of this movie (hard to do), it's wonderful
Me too!!!
Thanks!

Two finished sweaters! Ah-ah-ah!
In other long-term relationship news, @gsnorgathon.bsky.social and I have now known each other for !!!40!!! years.
Today we visit our tax guy, who we've seen for the past 30 years. We always spend at least half an hour talking about politics and hiking before getting down to business. He's retiring after this tax season, and we're really going to miss him.
Converse x Sanrio!!!
When it comes to my writing, I've got fairly predictable biases.
Thank you!
Another good writing afternoon. (When in doubt, throw some perfume in it and a whole lot of southern cooking.)
