One takeaway from the book that stood out was just how much Easton disliked Devo, Kraftwerk, and everything New Wave. It’s the friction that made it all work, but it answered the question as to why the heck he played in Cook & Clifford's Creedence Revisited band.

The only record of theirs I ever purchased and still my favorite. I hadn’t yet heard Suicide, but when I later I found out they opened for The Cars just before this it all made sense.
