The PBFA’s one day Oxford Book Fair is coming up this Saturday 18th October. This time I will be taking along a few children’s books including this wonderfully illustrated Dreamland Express by HR Millar from 1927
It even has the tattered and torn remains of the dustwrapper.

Just 12 copies printed apparently The pageant of the Company of Sheremen and Taylors in Coventry 1817. Presented to the antiquary William Hamper
Stemmata Shirleiana by Evelyn Philip Shirley 1841 - presented to his sister. The arms are all hand coloured.

It is the simple things in life…
Hand stamped, slightly wonky, lettering on the index tabs of a mid 19th century wages book from Louth in Lincolnshire.
The original owner nearly filled the book, but didn’t even use the index pages.
