I passed by Morgan Freeman walking alone and unrecognized during downtown LA lunchtime. We made eye contact, I nodded slightly but silently, he beamed and nodded, passed without a word or anyone else realizing who was in the crowd.

Due diligence! During the Obama administration, I helped a friend evaluate his options, and my understanding was this IS an executive branch decision to support, ignore, or forbid dual citizenship by policy. Obama was “ignore”. Friend was concerned another admin might forbid it later

I did Chicago to SF (Emeryville) a couple of years ago. I noted that at ~60, I was once the oldest diner at the table, and another time I was the youngest. So awesome.

Also try to travel in daylight if possible. I used to commute 7 hours every few months with two cats. They would sleep through much more of it in daylight, and get very restless after sundown.
Assume he will throw up at some point, and bring clean up supplies, including a plastic bag to put the debris in. Small effort, hugely useful if needed.

y’all there are so many of us here who LOVED old twitter. i loved it so much i worked there for five years! it was wildly imperfect but it was part of my soul. i miss it. walking away from it was so hard. but i won’t go back.

My job entailed taking lots of notes in real time. They never sunk in when I typed them, but they generally got committed to brain cells when I wrote by hand.
I’m not sure I’m reconciling not liking to write by hand with liking paper journals, but likewise I’m glad it works for you!
I switched from paper to a reMarkable brand ebook about 5 years ago. Never looked back
They’ve nailed the tactile element, far superior to my iPad or any other e-device. I think they’re having a (small) Black Friday sale
