I’ve been gaming with my husband in #Satisfactory. Casually we’ve clocked in over 100hrs in less than a month. He’s away for 4 days and we don’t want to play async, so I’m not thinking about the game and being productive. HAHA NO IM NOT IM READING ALL OF THE DOCS AND SKETCHING OUT NEW FACTORY PLANS

Stop in act 2 and come back later. You just turned it into a limited series.
2: Can’t stop binging and need to go to bed?
Stop mid-episode during a story dip. Now the cliff hangers and juicy parts are mid watch and it’s easy to walk away from each night.

Figuring out the design language for all of the possible outcomes of card placements in my indie roguelike card game. Still work in progress because I’m off to have a beer with some other developers! But here’s some images my work so far…
A little video I put together to show some of my progress on Wedding Planic! A lot of the functionality is in place, I’m getting ready to make the actual deck of peeps and start balancing the gameplay loop. Still a mountain of animation and UI to do 😅 solo indie dev is… hard.

This is super dumb, I've never tried to release a solo game before and have so much to do before I go anywhere near Steam - so I set up a substack so that WIP posts aren't time wasted. I got my first real sub today and I know it's the smallest of starts but I feel really happy about it.

A Next Fest demo is onto a winner when it ends and your heart sinks because you can’t play on. This is one to watch! A perfect mix of stuff we know and love with new and interesting ideas. I love the room building mechanic, it reminds me of Castles of Mad King Ludwig and I wish I’d thought of it!
