I'm posting about this because as I am presented with sources within one of my classes about asexuality I see a complete lack of talk about pleasure and what it means within asexuality. There is this constant reaffirming of sex is what the allosexual partner wants (and the asexual partner is just doing it to make their allosexual partner happy) and it's deeply frustrating that we are defining sex around sexual attraction and not looking at the fact that sex should be defined around a whole range of things! This is followed by user justslowdown replying: This helps me connect the dots re: kink and asexuality, because they do seem linked for a lot of people. Lots of kinky ace people out there. And, a lot of kinky people who aren't ace participate in sexual situations with people they aren't attracted to, because the situation itself is the turn-on.
