yes, very often
yes, very often
I actually kinda dig this song... but I also like Eddie Murphy's "Whatzupwitu" so I guess I'm just drawn to the absolute dregs of the new jack swing era
In addition to all the sad stuff surrounding Feldman, it wouldn't fit because there was no music career to wreck to begin with. One of the things that I love about Trainwreckords is that it differs from all the "bad music" content on the Internet that always rags on the same obvious albums.
not only it's not just a you thing, i think it's a bit of a stain on their legacy, because many young people who want to listen to the band just hop on Spotify and listen to the 2009 mixes, and the stereo sounds so wild that it can really put them off the group at least for a while
Break my heart, I want to go and cry
It's so sad to watch a great man die
Infinite respect and love to an artist who spent his life lighting up our world with some of the most precious, pure and wonderful music ever.

Twitter desactivated, Bluesky here I come
Nah it rules
The first half especially, I really dig the mix of "minimal" disco with rock, there are some bad songs on there (Body Language, Life Is Real) but it's mostly super solid and it has one of the best songs ever as its closer.
Better than most of their 70s ouptut for me

Of all the podcasts I've listened to, easily the best. Perfect balance between information, analysis, entertainment and humor. A podcast so good it made me listen to all the Muse albums several times. Heavily recommended.

Now listening: Arctic Monkeys - AM (2013)
Sorry if you enjoy it, but it's among the worst albums I've heard, the exact opposite of what I like in rock music, in terms of production, songwriting, performance, everything.
Highlights : Do I Wanna Know?
Lowlights : all the rest
Currently reading the excellent "Triptych" dissecting Manic Street Preachers' 1994 masterpiece "The Holy Bible" from three different points of view, fascinating to see just how much there is to discuss around one single album
yes, absolutely not, yes (#13 probably), hmmmm
Relistening to "Dog Man Star" made me reflect on my favorite albums from 1994 — one of the greatest years in music, if you ask me. What are yours?
#music #1990s
Now playing: Suede - Dog Man Star (1994)
After struggling, I now quite like it. A bit long and not a fan of the production, but Butler's guitar, the gloomy atmosphere, and the strong opening run all shine.
Highlights: Introducing the Band, The Wild Ones
Lowlights: The Asphalt World, The Power
je pense pas que ça va pas faire surchage, au contraire ça peut être cool d'avoir un lien entre les deux findings
Now listening: Billie Eilish - dont smile at me (2017)
I like some stuff she's made afterwards, but I really struggle with this EP, between the cringy lyrics, gimmicky prod tricks, boring compositions and plodding ballads
Highlights: idontwannabeyouanymore,ocean eyes
Lowlights: party favor,hostage
Muse - The 2nd Law (2012)
Afraid to say it's not as bad as its reputation suggests...
Some terrible tracks, too long, and as usual I struggle with Matt's vocals/Muse's production style, but the poppier cuts kinda work on me...
Highlights : Madness, Big Freeze
Lowlights : Survival, Unsustainable
a description that could also fit a reading of The Day Before You Came, maybe my personal favorite of the band
t'aurais dû même imo
Lyrically is definitely the... weirdest one, but I quite like the tune...
yeah that's my issue with them... it may be just because they're at the end of the album but idk
I hesitated to pick Feeling Called Love and I Spy because they're a tad too long but at least I remember them
Now listening: Pulp - Different Class (1995)
Not as crazy about this one as for other britpop classics but still : constantly good, sometimes great, and has two of the greatest songs ever written thrown in for good measure.
Highlights: Common People, Disco 2000
Lowlights: Monday Morning, Bar Italia
faudrait peut être un deuxième album pour rentrer dans le top 10 all time nan...
Daniel Rossen qui se demande ce qu'il fout là
Now listening : khc - Me and My Den (2024)
Nice textures, really like how the acoustic guitar sounds are treated to create these glitchy, warm atmospheres... Kinda like Mid-Air Thief but shorter so it doesn't get boring
Highlights : binulgul, kek
Lowlights : moon, mindtide
