A Spanish scientist have cured pancreatic cancer in mice. The most deadly cancer out there. People ignoring it and making fun of his birth defect.

The work was led by Mariano Barbacid at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre and targets the genetic mechanisms

If there’s one show you need to watch this year, it’s Pluribus. So brilliant.

Every time he defaces something with his name I think about how lovely the day will be when all of it gets torn off and restored.

I never could have imagined how angry and sad the word β€œblueberries” would make me. Poor child.

To this day, I choke up thinking that my daughter is protected against cervical cancer because of a vaccine. Literally prevents cancer. Imagine how many girls (and boys) this shot will save from that trauma. MAGIC is right!

Those survivors’ voices are loud enough to drown out anything Trump could throw at them. Brave women.

This painting was passed down through the Tanner family, and when Lewis Tanner Moore, went to school at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, he brought it with him and displayed it in his dorm.

A genteel crowd observes this caged animal, who previously starred in a traveling circus, at feeding time. Pomp, who the Philadelphia Inquirer described as β€œtame as a kitten,” does not appear very ferocious as he reaches out a paw to an offered hunk of meat.

When Tanner was a student at the PA Acad. of the Fine Arts, studying with Thomas Eakins (1844-1916), he professed a desire to become an animal painter. Eakins encouraged his students to visit the Phil Zoo to study animals from life, and Pomp, an old lion, became a favorite subject of Tanner’s.

Today is Henry Ossawa Tanner's 166th birthday! One of the most notable African American artists at the turn of the twentieth century, Henry Ossawa Tanner is the granduncle of Lewis Tanner Moore, whose collection is on display in "Yesterday's Dreams Are Real."

One of my favorite places to go is Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton NJ where you can find grand sculptures like 40 foot figures depicting Matisse’s Daydream, roaming peacocks, and trails that lead you to tiny treasures like this.

PSA from @johncusack.bsky.social: Democracy is under attack β€” and paywalls shouldn’t stand in the way of accessing vital public records.

News outlets, it’s time to drop the paywalls for FOIA-based reporting.

@wired.com did it. @404media.co did it.

Now, it’s your turn.
