I didn’t see this event advertised and looking everywhere I know of I still don’t see any record. And that’s my county. Mr. Ball is my county exec.

Had I known about this I probably would have shown up to call the senator out on her hypocrisy. When she was Prince George’s County Executive she never seemed to care about the wellness toll her corruption had on workers, men and women, who just wanted to be free to do an honest job.

Based on your past behavior, which includes rampant dishonesty and employee exploitation, your constituents need to keep a close eye on you and check you on your frequent lies in realtime. Experiencing the failure of our elected officials to be honest can be very mentally and spiritually damaging.

If they were to post on Bluesky first they could help establish it as a better source for breaking news, which could slowly drain the energy from X, potentially leaving it a barely viable shell of its former self.

I realized from another reply that my post didn’t capture my full meaning. I was focusing on everyday people when I made it. Some politicians and other officials will have to use X for the sake of effective communication. But they could also post on sites like this first.

I haven’t compared the timelines of AOC‘s posts, so I’m not sure what she does.

Although the original post was directed towards AOC, I was actually thinking about us everyday people in my reply. And I think even if decent people still have to use X for some reason they should still post on its alternatives first to establish those as the first source of valuable information.

I can’t argue with that.

I’m shocked progressives and other generally decent people won’t go for the jugular and at least reduce their use of X, especially with viable alternatives in existence, like this site.

Is it as hard for you as it is for me to take pride in the accomplishments of some of the USA’s Winter Olympics teams, especially against Canada, when they look like MAGA’s dreams coming true on multiple levels?
