Allowing the Leafs to play a playoff game on Mother’s Day is cruel and unusual punishment.

I completely agree, and that’s really the problem. We’ve become so divided that the vote is about preventing someone else from winning instead of voting for who we think has the right vision to move us forward.

The work doesn’t stop now that the Liberals have won. If anything, the work will only get harder to push them for real change that benefits everyone.

Living with so much division within our country isn’t good for anyone.

While I’m happy with the results of the election, I think the outcome has certainly shown us we are at a crossroads. Three leaders (4 if you count Bernier) lost their seats in this election.

If that doesn’t send a message about how Canadians feel about our system then I don’t know what will.

Mine has become very PG because I have tiny ears still awake but I lot of “freaking idiots, the lot of you!”

Deeply disassociated for three months while I lived in my kindle book worlds only to come back to reality right as my therapist went on maternity leave and the USA descended into fascism.

It was nice to check in but I think I’ll head back to my books now.

He’s threatening media companies who are critical of him.

He’s talking about sending Americans to foreign prisons.

He’s signing executive orders to investigate former staff members who spoke out against him.

He’s defying the Supreme Court.

The similarities between being a family lawyer and a toddler mom are wild. No wonder I am perpetually exhausted.

If there was any certainty in life beyond death and taxes it would be that rural conservatives will always find a way to make themselves the victims.

Life’s been busy but I must say I was much happier reading about fae and dragons on my kindle than logging back into socials to see the many distressing things going on in the world. Ignorance really was bliss.

I though being a 4 gift rule family at Christmas would mean the holidays wouldn’t cost us so much but then I remember that food/hosting is my favourite thing and next thing I know I’ve spent $1000 on food. Oops.

A great message. If only more of our politicians actually acted consistently with the recognition that "a political party isn't a cult." Canada is arguably the democracy with the most extreme form of party discipline in the world.

Just heard news from a friend that a local tragedy has been confirmed as a murder. This is not the first femicide in my small rural area which is incredibly alarming.

But the SP can do no wrong here even though we have frequently closed ER & doc shortages. When I was pregnant with my 1st they couldn’t even guarantee an anesthesiologist when I was due to give birth, when I had my 2nd they only had two OBGYN for the entire area. It’s madness.

Every time I see/hear that term I’m reminded of the time Ryan Getzlaf was suspended from the NHL for saying it and it was deemed a homophobic slur.

I was shocked because I never saw it as a slur in that way until that happened but I guess it also means that context matters?

Agreed, and I can’t even properly express how much I loathe those light projectors….

Now I have to take most of the day off because I can’t actually do any real work when my brain isn’t functioning so I’ll be spending my morning sleeping since I didn’t get any last night.

Parenting is so fun!!!

My kids are generally pretty good sleepers but I swear they like to torture me any time their dad is gone for a night. Miller sleeps through the night 98% of the time but of course she decided last night it would be fun to be wide awake from 2AM-5AM.

Don’t even get me started on bottles of Kraft ranch 😭

Everyday, but especially today, we should remember that femicide is still prevalent in Canada.

Those of us in SK should be especially cognizant of the fact that we have the highest rates of femicide in the country.
