I'm thrilled to share that I'm participating in the @pmcfride for the 11th time! I'll be cycling 200km from Toronto to Niagara Falls to support a cause that means the world to me. As captain of @the_heme_team, I'm honored to lead an incredible group of riders. Cancer treatment has made tremendous progress, but our work isn't done yet. Please consider donating to my ride via the link in my bio! And, as it's my birthday month, what better gift than a lifesaving donation??!! Thank you for your support!

When I explain to people how I rode with multiple Consulate Generals across Toronto on bikes, showed off all of our cycling infrastructure, but it was Shaw Street that they were most impressed with.
They asked, Why we donβt have streets like this ALL OVER TORONTO?

Toronto city councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon has been fighting to get council to impose a three-term limit saying regular turnover would guarantee fresh ideas.
BRENDAN KENNEDY / TORONTO STAR FILE PHOTO
Most city councillors are unwilling to limit their time in office, but Torontonians love the idea of giving them a political shelf life.
A Forum Research poll of 876 Torontonians conducted last Tuesday to Thursday revealed strong support for council term limits.
Some 61 per cent support a term limit for mayor, while slightly fewer respondents, 58 per cent, support ending the days of career councillors.
ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW
The margin of error in the poll is 3 percentage points 19 times out of 20.
βPoliticians always say the best term limit is an election, but Torontonians donβt appear to agree,β said Forum Research president Lorne Bozinoff. βThey want their mayor and councillors gone by a specified best-before date.β
Respondents were asked if they approve or disapprove of term limits, but given no specific time frame.
Councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon has been fighting to get council to impose a three-term limit, a total of 12 years, saying regular turnover would guarantee fresh ideas.
