I like the government pivot to reminding voters that Farage is an avowed enemy of NATO & Europe & an ardent admirer of Vladimir Putin, who routinely orders the murders of critics & opponents. It is politically effective & morally essential.

Buy some candles, spark up the burner and put some socks on. If you can go a whole year with zero import I'd be delighted, but really can't see it happening in the UK
Hey @thesolarshed.bsky.social thanks for your help. So far, so good. Zero imports since Feb 15th!
But now comes the testing 4 darkest months, with highest consumption...
Have a friend currently down on his luck in Manchester who could do with a long term loan of an electric bike. Can anyone help?
What's Nigel Farage's problem with solar panels?

ICYMI: Trump says his administration won't approve any wind or solar power projects.
Reminder that Big Oil spent nearly $100M to get Trump elected in 2024.
It's a huge payoff for his corporate donors at the expense of a livable planet.

I've started looking at Heacham for a beach hut now the prices have stopped spiralling. Perfect bird watching at sunset territory
when you looks at the amount of One of those containers could hold 2-3mw of lithium. You'd need 3.5acres / MW of solar.
7 acres for one container......
I agree with you, but it would be tokenistic on the scale of what this battery site needs
SOLAR INCOMING @thesolarshed.bsky.social
the solar army grows by the day.
Good work
celebrating those who take up solar is not gloating over those who do not have it. We could have sent a message saying sorry to hear those without solar will pay more, but celebrate solar and it's owners here.

@thesolarshed.bsky.social @goinggreengrover.bsky.social @ofgem.bsky.social looks like weve done it again run the electricity in the house now for48hours. Panels will be charging battery in about an hour or less. @solarnation.bsky.social
This early is awesome ๐
@solarnation.bsky.social @thesolarshed.bsky.social @energysavingtrust.bsky.social @goinggreengrover.bsky.social first time this year ran the house overnight until the sun returned. 24 hours on solar.
certainly focusses the mind. We're considering replacing our battery with a bigger inverter and more capacity. Maybe 32kWh, to get ready for electric heating. The 7 yr old battery I have in the house can go down to the workshop and help out there. There's small 2kw pv system on the workshop
originally predicted at 3%, now looks closer to 8 or 9% according to reports from energy companies
Awesome news on the energy price cap increase coming in April. Much bigger than expected which is great news for the two million homes in the UK with solar.
Every time prices rise, their savings get bigger.
