They sure know how to get in lockstep with their lies.

When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, one of two things will happen. You will be taught how to fly π¦ or you will step on solid ground. π DO NOT MESSAGE ME. You will be blocked.
They sure know how to get in lockstep with their lies.
I donβt think Trump and his people are capable of engineering βdistractions,β I think the mind-numbing chaos we see every day is straightforwardly the result of giving the dumbest, cruelest, most corrupt, most selfish people of a generation near-unmitigated power
It would be nice to deport him & his family since he has done it to so many people including people who have been born in this country.
The difference between the spike in global oil prices now versus 2022 is that this time the US president single-handedly caused it to happen overnight with a policy while accepting no responsibility, while the US president in 2022 was blamed for it even though he didnβt cause it.
The government just told a federal court:
βCourts cannot tell the President what to say.β
Thatβs the theory behind Trumpβs latest clash with the judiciaryβand it could end up before the Supreme Court. open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...
Republicans are scared. With the Strait of Hormuz closed, oil prices have soared to over $100 per barrel (from under $70 per barrel 10 days ago.) Thereβs been a huge spike in gas prices. The WSJ called it βthe most severe energy crisis since the 1970s and threatening to derail the global economy.β
So far the war on Iran has cost $9.4 billion.
That's $1 billion per day.
$41,666,667 per hour.
$11,574 per second.
Thousands of lives lost.
People don't want this. They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.
What isn't mentioned is that the Republicans are having their conference at Donald Trump's resort. In other words, it's a kickback to line the venal simpleton's pockets. We are living in the most corrupt times.
In less than 1 week, Trump has wasted more than $5 BILLION of your taxpayer dollars on his war of choice on Iran.
That money could have covered the cost of SNAP for more than 2 million Americans for a year.
There's always money for war and never money for human needs.
The Trump administration says there will be no more Epstein files released. Over half of the 6 million documents remain sealed.
Pam Bondiβs response:
βThe DOJ is done.β
lol
I understand that there are a lot of folks on the left who instinctively recoil from religious language, and with good reason given its use by the right.
But please listen to this, and focus on how he's trying to realign "Christian values" so they align with and advance progressive policy goals.
Only 8+ days into Trumpβs war, oil is over $100 a barrel, and gas prices have jumped more than 50 cents on average.
So much winning.
At least some Americans are benefiting from Trumpβs Iran War.
WE STILL DON'T HAVE A CLEAR ANSWER ON THE MOST BASIC QUESTION ABOUT THE IRAN WAR
WHY did the U.S. go to war?
A Popular Information review of public statements over the last 9 days found 17 DIFFERENT EXPLAINATIONS. Many of which contradict each other.

After three years of foot-dragging (and lies)β¦ the Jan 6 plaque is finally hung at Capitol

Apparently, Lindsey Graham's drunken Fox News bullshit isn't working in the more clear-eyed Middle East.
Uh. No thank you.
Heβs also sending Witkoff and Kushner to Israel on Tuesday.
Probably nothing to do with global markets cratering and oil going parabolic
Wounded Knee. Tulsa. My Lai. Abu Ghraib
And now, Minab
We need to talk about the horror when 180 little schoolgirls, boys and teachers were obliterated by U.S. Tomahawk missiles last week. And tell Congress: Not one more dime for these war crimes
My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/iran...
Amazing how much damage one malignant narcissist can cause.

Trump really blew up a school of little girls in Iran and then he lied about it.
There are going to be Republicans running in many places who will go out of their way this October to point out to voters that they never asked for Trumpβs endorsement. Susan Collins will top the list.
Me a year ago: "Musk may be a happy hatchet man thinking he is reshaping the government. But for Trump he is a useful tool to help allow Trump to restaff it."
WaPo today: "A year after Elon Musk and his DOGE allies purged 100k's of federal employees, the Trump administration is ramping up hiring."
"The country has also detained a U.S. citizen, which has not been previously reported..."

This seems pretty bad for the environment.
We found that 11 of Trumpβs DOT appointees disclosed between $12 million and $52 million in stock holdings and other financial interests in airlines, railroads, oil and gas corporations, transportation technology firms and other related businesses.

βIn this moment, itβs important to soberly recognize what we are up against. Trump is not interested in our safety. On the contrary, he is more than willing to exploit a terrorist attack at home to further consolidate his power.β

Yeah, I noticed.
