Probably neither extreme is good, but I'm personally happier on the slow-and-careful end of the spectrum, even though projects take longer. Also, I believe it's a good habit for the field, given the increasing number of papers and hard-to-interpret data. Excited for the final form of your paper! :-)
Really curious about this too! I don't have a good answer; in my head, it's a spectrum, and finding a good compromise is challenging. On the one hand, you publish 'fast', but may worry about completeness/correctness; on the other hand, you may risk leaving projects unpublished/unfinished.
