I 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 I could focus on adding content and actually stick to the plan… but why do that when I can overengineer the water flow, make it worse than before, then tear out and replace the save system, room loading, and camera handler all at once instead?

A sequel is in the works, and I think stuff has been backported to the first game that fixed input issues and possible other things.

I decided to test replacing the pixel art with hand-drawn assets. I aim for a doodled, imperfect style that feels like pixel art when you squint. With a few days ahead without computer access, it’s a perfect opportunity to focus on drawing instead of defaulting to programming. #ScreenshotSaturday

Great work and interesting setting! I get the feeling of the 8-bit metal gear games. It has potential. You should consider to continue the work on it. I think one improvement would be to show button icons when you can perform an action like opening a door. I was stuck in the first room for a while.
