@tubesnapper
Found on a train, bus, DLR or Tube in the process of some mad challenge and campaigning for more step free access on public transport. I’m going to Wheelchair Across The Alps in June 2025 for Ataxia UK.
Lol
That’s rail’y high.
In 1913, New York City's Grand Central Terminal became the first "stairless" train station in the world.
1913!
And in the 21st Century, the UK can't even work out how to provide level boarding for trains.

Cheers fella.
Cheers I’ve followed both
Cheers, might do it for another account first to see how it goes.
I’ll take a look fella, cheers
A true hero. He’s raised millions for charity and achieved an incredible world first Wheelchair push.
You had me at Hydrogen、smile emoji
Two wheelchair users push 100km to visit every station on London’s District Line.
A graphic image on a white background. The image is a map of the District Line in green with station names dotted along the line. There are six branches on the line. There is also text on the image that reads: District line. Ultra wheelchair marathon challenge. 60 Stations. 100km. 2 men in wheelchairs. Friday October 25th 2024. There is also a logo for the charity ATAXIA which is depicted as a text graphic spelling out ATAXIA in grey with a multi-coloured band of distortion running through the top of the letters.
Our biggest Tube Challenge yet.
@the_mad_marathoner and I will be doing a wheelchair ultra marathon to visit every station on the District Line by wheel'n between them all.
100km, 60 Stations, two chaps in wheelchairs. Friday 25th October.
We will be raising awareness of my condition, #ataxia
Really enjoyed @geofftech.bsky.social long form video on Britain’s Buses at their Best. I’m now seriously thinking of going to Brighton to ride the bus along the coast with the double wheelchair spaces.
A square graphic image with the number 35565 and the name “Ben” . Also on the image is the London Marathon logo which is a stylised “L” in italics Meeting a stylised “M” also in italics with the text “TCS London Marathon” in the negative space between in very small font . The image colours are black and white except for another logo which is a lowercase joined up style “tcs” in a yellow, red and purple gradient.
I’m wheel’n all 26.2 miles of the @LondonMarathon this Sunday to raise money for @AtaxiaUK in my wheelchair. Hopefully I will also raise awareness of my rare neurological disease, #ataxia. This is my bib number if you want to follow my progress.
Me in my wheelchair being helped by TfL staff ramp assistance to board a tube train. A member of staff is standing behind me watching out to make sure I board safely while im moving across the ramp and into the tube car between the open doors.
This photo sums up what I love about traveling on the Tube. Thank you TfL staff for all your help in 2023. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2024.
I’m wondering if you have considered a tube vs super loop set of challenges.
Really like to mood and atmosphere of this shot.
Really enjoyed the video fella. Can’t wait to try it out when it’s finished.
Cheers smile emoji
Random stranger just came up to me and wanted to gift me an Uber while I was waiting at the bus stop after getting of the tube. Very kind of him but declined as it would mean I wouldn’t get to ride on the bus. He looked really disappointed.
I’ve checked. I have not. Erm might have a little wheel-abouts in West London.
I’ve still never got a clean shot of it either. Or have I?
That’s great mate smile emoji
Might be as it grows smile emoji
Thank you smile emoji
Thank you
So sorry final got around to joining this app. Not sure what I’m going to post about on here but I have a feeling transport and disability might get talked about.
