The universe is smiling down at my husbear and I today, as on this Valentine's Day, we received a letter from the apartment's management company, informing us that Greg has been approved to be added to my lease, making him an official resident.
Oh God, how do I top this Valentine's Day next year?
It's like any intra-personal interaction, knowing the balance between our interests (no matter how niche they are) and how the rest of the world "may" react to them. You never know what others may say about that particular interest unless you allow yourself to be open enough to share it with them.
So now I have to scramble to come up with that portion of the rent before the 5th. Is there anyone who can help, even if it's a little bit? I am fine with everything else for the time being, with the exception of this. Any help would be truly appreciated.

Okay, so I had a financial slip-up happen to me and I need help covering the last $60 of my rent. I had an old subscription )I had thought I had cancelled) hit that took it out of my rent. I contacted support and they were able to process the refund, but it'll take 5-10 business days to complete.
I love graham crackers dunked in milk. It's so f'ing good! Can easily go through two packs like that and be completely satisfied. Fuck the haters. You keep being you, man.
Had a very productive morning. Washed up some dishes from last night, prepped veggies for dinner (making a TikTok recipe that looked really good), cleaned the bathtub, made some brownies for dessert/snack, and am now stressing about coming up with some money for rent. And all before noon.

I am going to piggyback off of a couple people here and say swimming or water aerobics. It's low-impact resistance exercise and doesn't involve sweaty profusely in front of others. Other ideas include light walks to the end of the driveway and back or easy arm/leg crunches while inside.

Made up some classic Christmas cookies a couple of days ago and decided to bake them today before the night's end. I think I have at least 60 or so cookies to decorate. At least we'll have desserts and sweet snacks covered for the weekend.

Needless to say that it was all a lie, his credibility as a "doctor" was marred for years.
Also, people's health are not all the same. What may work for one person doesn't mean that it will work for someone else. So I have a hard time listening to health-related news like this nonsense.
Back in 2012, on his show, he would be constantly saying to his audience, in studio and at home, to be taking a daily multivitamin for your health and even pushed a weight loss method that he was sued for falsely advertising, claiming it was a miracle weight loss cure.
This coming the man who constantly pushed multivitamins and healthy methods that don't work and are actually harmful to the human body.
As I'm watching old episodes of Legends of the Hidden Temple, I wish there were blooper reels from every season. Can you imagine Kirk Fogg eating it big as he's running up the Steps of Knowledge? I'd be laughing my ass off.
So the plan for tomorrow is prep for a dessert (Apple crisp) to take to my brother's house, who is hosting Thanksgiving. I'm sad about not cooking the dinner again, but it's the first year celebrating w/ my husband @collideintome.bsky.social, so it's a fair trade.

Valentine's Day? I'm putting up decorations for Arbor Day. Here it's going to be a big deal this year.

Before and after of what they did today. I'm glad the walls aren't stained red anymore. They still have work on the carpet to do and are going to replace that ceiling panel, along with scrubbing the vents clean. Should be all done by tomorrow.
Pipe cleanup update:
Maintenance has come by today to begin the painting and potentially cleaning of the carpet from last week's pipe disaster. The carpet may need to be pretreating before it's actually clean, but at least we won't have to replace it entirely. Pics of before and after later.
Final pipe update:
After a week of waiting, the plumbing company finally came by and made the replacement repairs needed. One less headache from all this.
Now I have to work with maintenance to repair the rust damage to the walls and carpet. It might be a long fall...
The pipe was for the water cooling system for the HVAC. Maintenance came by yesterday afternoon and finally shut the line off. They have to call a plumber to come and remove the old pipes and install new ones.
Still stressed, but a bit more calm today. Year's not over yet though.
A water pipe has decided to leak in several spots in my living room ceiling. I have notified maintenance about the situation and am waiting on them to contact the proper agency to get it fixed. Meanwhile, my patience is thin, I'm stressed out, and I'm nearing the point of saying fuck it all.
Final result/autopsy:
After letting it cool, I checked the inside of the flan to see if it was overcooked or not. Lo and behold, it was. Scrambled egg on the inside. The flavor was there, but the texture was way off. I either didn't have enough water in the water bath or the oven was too hot.
Decided to try and make flan today for dessert. While the prep and caramel cooking was fairly easy, I'm not sure that it came out right. When I checked it, it didn't jiggle like it is supposed to. But it doesn't look overcooked. I don't quite know what's up with it.
My cat was acting weird last night. We thought it was because of the cookie I was eating. But I remembered that I had gotten some remnants of some air freshener in my hair and she was curious about the smell. She's still a weirdo.

Unless I am actively taking the time to take photos, I'm just living in the moment. Don't get me wrong, having those photos are nice and they bring back the memories of those events. But unless you make the necessary photo albums to store those pics, you're just taking up space on your phone.
