From the author of the #BlackDaggerBrotherhood comes #CrownOfWarAndShadow. Not a bad #book but it lacked... something. This is supposed to be a 4 book series. It didn't end on a cliffhanger, so you have a choice of 1 and done or follow them into the future. I'm a little iffy right now. #booksky

I am so envious of a #storyteller. They take you by the hand and lead you on an adventure. They swallow you whole and introduce you to new worlds, new people, new ideas. I've even had a few haunt my dreams. My mind so engaged that the story remains even when the ink & pages are absent. #booksky
#TwelveMonths, part 2. I finally started finding interest 180-200 pages in. I don't give up easily on MY series. But it does happen. I did finish it. I won't say I enjoyed it. Maybe this #book was needed to get from point A (The battle of Chicago) to point B (The next book). #booksky #JimButcher
I've read all of the #DresdenFiles. A series I have very much enjoyed. I am having a hard time with #TwelveMonths. 158 pages read in 4 days. Should be close to done. Not even half way. The #book is gloomy. I've heard rumors that #JimButcher is tired of the series. But the publisher pushes. #booksky

#StolenInDeath book 62 of the series. It's an In Death #book. Need I say more? Eve & Roarke save the day. It took me a bit to get involved. That may be on me. #Distracted. This book was much more about the case & slightly less about the personalities that surround her. #booksky #J.D.Robb #library
I usually read about a 100 pages a day. For whatever reason, I was managing only 30-40 with this careful what you wish for story. But #WintersetHollow was just quirky enough to keep me going when I would have normally tossed a towel. Mixed feelings after finishing it. #booksky #JonathanEdwardDurham
I spent the day reading #PendergastTheBeginning. Not normal for me to read the day away. But I still wasn't as excited about this #book as my husband was. It fills in some background. But if this had actually been the 1st book I'd read in the series, I probably wouldn't have read the rest. #booksky
#Gold is #book 5 of 6 in the #PlatedPrisoner series. It was my least favorite. Mainly because it felt like Auren showed up to a sword fight with a hat pin. I know it's for the drama. But I found it very annoying. Still looking forward to the final book. #booksky #RavenKennedy #FinishedSeries

#TheInvisibleWoman is a bright pink book. That probably should have been a hint. My husband has a select few authors that he enjoys. #JamesPatterson being one of them. He DNF this #book. I think this was meant to appeal to women. And, as a woman, I finished it. But give it a, meh. #booksky
I was pretty sure I wouldn't finish this #trilogy. This book is awkward. The enemies to lovers is clunky. Then in the last few pages, what I expected... happened. Maybe just enough to get me to read 1 more.

The 1st half of #OnTheWingsOfBlood was leaning towards DNF. A snowstorm & a sad lack of other books kept me going. I felt Zodiac Academy meets Twilight at Fourth Wing, even a hint of Harry Potter & Hunger Games, as I read this #book. But not as good as any of them. #booksky

I have tried to write this several times. Trying to explain the rape in #Alchemised without spoilers. Don't bring your pitchforks. Best intentions. The scene is nonconsensual sex for both people. Yes, it's rape. But it might make a difference to those that are concerned for that trigger. #Booksky
It is a lot of book but somewhat surprising.
I can honestly say I was surprised by #Alchemised. I had serious doubts when I picked it up at the #library. The book jacket mentioned war. My eyes just glaze over reading battle scenes. Fortunately, there are very few blow by blow battles. Read the triggers. I have very few. #booksky
#ComingSoon, from #JamesPatterson, a new #AlexCross book. #Cross&Sampson is #book 35. Due Feb 9. At 368 pages I'm looking forward to a quick read. I started at the beginning. Feels like family. Check your #library. Season 2 of Cross also in Feb. I'm iffy on the show. Hard to beat a book. #booksky

#Glow is the 4th book in the 6 book #PlatedPrisoner series. This book had some unexpected & exciting moments that opened so many possibilities for the next 2 #books. I'm in love with these characters. I wish I could read quicker. But life & 672 pages. #library #midas #fae #completedseries #booksky
