My son is mocking me again as I contemplate moving from Unreal back to another game engine for my dungeon crawler. He thinks I might be finished by 2040. #indiedev #gamedev #videogames #gamedevelopment #retro #dugeoncrawler

Was using gamemaker for the first time in ages and really happy they've sorted out the ability to add text a lot easier than it used to be. Still find some of the interface a little bit of a hassle than it should be, but yeah cool.
Finally the weekend, do I work on my games, my books or play the steam deck.... life choices!
I'm seriously considering moving game engines yet again... I wish I could merge two or three game engines and take the best out of them and put them into one. All of them are good, but non are great.
Anyway what a waste of time. Dunno why I just dont pay someone else to make it. #gamedev #indiedev
I got bored at one point and made him put a zombie mask on. He did a better job of explaining the game than I did.
That time I went to EGX twice with a game that didn't have any gameplay.... those were the days! I still haven't heard the end of this from my youngest son! I still haven't finished the game. Lolz. #gamedev #indiedev
First post on BlueSky, will be posting about indie game dev, and somehow trying to get at least one game released in the next decade ๐ -always the problem when working full time in the industry and also writing in my spare time. But I have so many ideas that its depressing that I dont do more.
