One of the crimes of AI has been the destruction of the beautiful "my nephew made this logo for me on his computer!" energy from all the hyper-local plumbers and taco shops. AI slop on white work vans is a crime against humanity.
Listening to Emma Gregory reading Adepta Sororitas audiobooks will make them your favourite faction too (I’m sure the Catholic upbringing and education don’t hurt).
I’ve started doing my research to make this a “when” rather than an “if”.

Nothing like having to grade a call centre worker on how well they served you (to that worker, verbally) to make you feel gratitude for your own less brutal work environment.

I’m a game design enthusiast and there are so many resources that I feel like I’m grasping until the author/speaker pivots to Heidegger or something. 🙃

Nothing against Simon Vance, but hearing his Lestat voice has made it very difficult for me to listen to him reading (other) audiobooks. Which sucks, 'cause he's done a lot of books that I want to listen to.

Under the reeling robot are some important anti-AI talking points rendered in rough maker-style hand lettering: 'Bad at Everything! Kill the Planet! Brain Atrophy!' I could go on but there's only so much space in one drawing. All of this has been worked up digitally to look like it's a vintage screen printed t-shirt design with cracked and worn plastisol inks. In conclusion, fuck your AI.

the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now
