My in-laws have a second home in Virginia and we have all decided that we are not going down there for at least the next 4 years. I wasn't going to respond to this until you wrote again but comparing 28 senators voting to ban trans athletes to the rounding up of Jewish people during the Holocaust is so tone deaf it defies response.

My argument stays the same for every 2028 nominee. It's not about Newsom specifically, that's just who the original tweet was about.

Again, I'm not saying Newsom is a good candidate or even a good person. I am saying that *IF* it comes down to Newsom or the GOP candidate in 2028 people should vote for Newsom.

And that's America's choice. I just don't think it's a smart one.

I'm saying that voters may need to get on board with voting for Newsom to avoid Vance or Trump (if he attempts a 3rd term). I'm saying incremental improvement with Newsom is better than letting the GOP continue to run wild. I'm no Newsom fan, I'm saying that people need to get behind whoever it is.

Your president is Donald Trump. Maybe comparing your countries leader to ours isn't the road you want to go down.

That's the point I'm making. If you guys don't get on board you'll cut off your nose to spite your face instead of realizing there's benefit in incremental improvement.
