Half relationships in genetic genealogy
Getting your head around ‘Half’ relationships can be tricky. In regular life we probably wouldn’t make a distinction between a half cousin and a full cousin. Yet when we’re …
My latest blogpost has just published. It's about working with DNA results, working out where 'Half' relationships start, and why. I wrote this post in response to a few comments about how difficult the concept of 'half cousins' can be. englishancestors.blog/2026/02/19/h...

What will it take for the government to launch an investigation into this?

The latest release of Epstein files results in ‘nothing of importance’ for the DOJ yet includes Mandelson emails that could bring down Starmer.
A clever bit of manipulation that speaks volumes about who really pulls the global strings. Was democracy only a sham to keep the masses in their place?

I’ve read all the extracts you shared Russ, and if these can be found to be credible (and surely the repetition across many statements suggests they are) I can’t see how this can fail to be the end for Trump. They are deeply shocking.

This is the root of the problem. Not money exactly, but Greed, and a system that has developed to allow the prioritising of Greed over all else.

I find it difficult to understand how a font can be 'wasteful'.
On the other hand, I appreciate fully that refusing to permit the use of a font that is more easily read by people with dyslexia is very wasteful indeed. Wasteful of human inclusion and talent.

Okaaay... so with 3 hrs 18 mins to spare I've just placed my final pre-price-hike order for Probate docs. Seventeen wills at a total of £25.50, instead of the £272 it would cost to buy them after midnight. A saving of £246.50. Hope I didn't forget any.
Buy yours right now if you need them!

Starbucks’ CEO makes 6,666x what the average @sbworkersunited.org barista does. It would take less than one day of sales to finalize a fair contract.
Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

We concur! A #OnePlaceStudy can help you to identify the people your ancestors lived alongside, worked with and for, teamed up with for sports or social events, worshipped with, and associated with in other ways, breaking down brick walls along the way.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

Just published by Sussex Bylines, this is written by a founder member of No One Above, a collective of survivors of organized abuse and trafficking at Fayed-controlled organisations. It describes the barriers that survivors have faced in their battle to bring the abusers to justice.

The Witchfinder General: East Anglia’s dark secret
As we tell ghost stories to children, it is time to remember a true horror that stalked these lands
Between 1645 and 1647, more than 100 people in East Anglia were executed for witchcraft – most of them women.
Their only crime was being accused.
Stuart Burrell tells their story.
