THE TIKTOK KILLER on Netflix is a true crime documentary series in two parts. It’s from Spain, and the case is sure to anger you. I don’t think this is a particularly strong production. However, I recognize the immense value of having the victim’s friends and family tell the story. Read review ↘️
THE BRIDE! is a genre hybrid that is nothing short of a wild masterpiece. This continuation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein universe, with Jessie Buckley in the title role, will not be for everyone. For me, however, it’s full of power and vulnerability in all the right ways. Read our review ↘️

THE GIRL INSIDE THE PHOTOGRAPH is a Horror Sci-Fi movie made with a small budget but a lot of heart and talent. At 1 hour and 48 minutes, it is too long, but don’t let that stop you from watching it. The core story is fascinating and gets very dark. Read our review ↘️

IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE on Hulu is a new sci-fi drama about life, the power of connection, and overcoming obstacles. While it has gotten a very harsh reception from most critics, I am very happy to recommend it. It’s ultimately a feel-good sci-fi story about humanity. Read our full review ↘️

REDUX REDUX is a new sci-fi thriller with a multiverse revenge story. Just when I thought I had it figured out, there was a new twist. Nothing forced or silly, but a strong vendetta story that most should be able to relate to. It’s definitely a genre-hybrid you do not want to miss. Read review ↘️
MURDER IN GLITTERBALL CITY on HBO is a two-part documentary that should simply have been a (shorter!) feature documentary. The case is very interesting – as is the ultimate outcome – but far too many “guest stars” do nothing good for the true crime element. Read our full review here!
THIS IS NOT A TEST is a zombie apocalyptic horror thriller. Olivia Holt is great in the lead, and the overall casting works really well. It’s a good zombie movie, but it could have been better. It would have required that it dared go a bit deeper with its characters. Read our full review ↘️
56 DAYS on Prime Video is a mystery thriller series that was infinitely better than I expected. Based on the marketing for this show, I expected something along the lines of 50 Shades of Grey. However, this is more murder mystery than lots of steamy scenes. Read our review ↘️

THE HUNTSMAN is a Serial Killer Thriller that begins well and has intriguing elements. Sadly, it becomes extremely predictable. Bonus points for the casting of Elizabeth Mitchell in a key role. This movie could have been good, which is probably why I’m annoyed with the outcome. Read our review ↘️

THE ART OF SARAH on Netflix is a murder mystery series from South Korea. And yes, this series has everything that we love from South Korean productions. Particularly, a very character-driven story. With eight 45-minute episodes, it keeps you guessing. Read our series review ↘️
