@adarowski.bsky.social A guy I used to play softball with, late 40s, usually plays on multiple softball teams and also in a men’s baseball league, and is also kind of a stats nerd…I asked him if he has tracked all of his hits in his lifetime.

I meant a more logical leap might be to say he’d have been a great 3B if he was right-handed.
I don’t know. I think it’s a stretch to assume this. Big difference between being a brilliant 1B and a brilliant SS. If he was athletic enough to be a SS, why wasn’t he a CF. 3B maybe?
Also, the day this came out was the day I saw the Ted Lasso episode with Trent wearing a Midlake shirt.
