Oh is this finished? I gotta get out there. I've gotten so used to avoiding that whole zone for so long.
Always re-defining what's possible

Screenshot of a poll asking which of the following did you do last weekend. Options include scaled a maintain, saved an endangered species and had lunch with a friend
People who understand/design political polls, what is this question for? Is this another version of quotations? Are you a human?"
Thanks for taking quick and thorough action!
Everyone knows you have to give walnuts lots of extra space to breathe
thanks for looking into it. South side seems fine. North side was dark tonight at 7:15pm and another night this week
@nomabid.bsky.social fyi, the lights in the M Street Northeast underpass are not working on one side. There's something wrong with the rain installation. Very dark
I love that CaBi is leading the charge Americans understanding the metric system!
40 meters is.~420 feet, right?
You asked, we listened. Starting today, CaBi members can park ebikes near full stations for free. Get additional details and applicable terms on our blog. shorturl.at/OBk6W
I'm upset to learn this place is not local. Booooo
Weโve heard now from several reliable sources that federal agencies may remove a substantial chunk of the 15th St NW protected bike lanes near the National Mall in February, possibly as early as next week.
Well, I'll cheers to that!
There's plenty of clever, denigrating ways to insult this stale, fascist shitbag without being homophobic, thank you
Had that experience last week
Bikeshare bike at bike rack
side angle of a Bikeshare bar code
@bikeshare.bsky.social one of your runaway classic bikes (W22748) is often parked undocked, but secured with a cable lock) at the east side of College Park Metro station. Here at 5:20pm today
Ice covered sidewalk leading to 4-foot high pile of dark chunks of ice
Things are going great out there!
Hear that? It's the sound of the drawbridge going up to protect the few lucky enough to buy homes when they were affordable
Florida Ave NE lanes are 4' high ice mounds
Build the ice wall
Too on the nose
Imagine how quiet American cities could be if cars were designed and regulated for situational awareness rather than isolation.
Instead car makers and emergency vehicles are fighting an ever escalating war of better soundproofing and louder sirens. And us people out on the streets lose.
Train platform with only platform edge lights on
A train platform illuminated by just the escalator lights
@metrorailinfo.bsky.social there are no lights on at the upper floor of Fort Totten and there's not a staff member with a light to be seen. It's pitch black up here and trains are still running through as normal,
I had no idea lighting was part of the plan. I sure hope someone is thinking critically about shades so the lights aren't just shining right into your eyes like on the Met Branch Trail at the NoMa Metro
If it's just to make up the schedule, that's pretty frustrating
@metrorailinfo.bsky.social what's going on at College Park to require bypassing in the greenbelt direction? Trains are already running at 16 minutes, so that's pretty frustrating
Metro train wrapped in red and pink for the holidays with text "making your ride sweeter"
Looking very holiday cheer and joy today @metrorailinfo.bsky.social
Or when it's raining
Or when it's slippery
Or where people live
Or where there are children
Or where there are people
Or ...
For the first time in a while I got to answer a local DC political phone poll
Issues happen. But if you'd communicated that no trains would be going north through Rhode Island Ave for 40 minutes, I'd have taken the long way around half an hour ago. Communication, both online and on the platform is the problem. Thanks for all y'all do, but this wasn't a win.
So all trains are off loading at NoMa. Updates?
I wish my city's mayor had this much interest in what happens at the street and neighborhood level. This rules
