My anchor partner makes feel deeply seen regularly. He didn’t ask me to hide my hurt and was able to make space for it. He showed up with compassion and without trying to control or fix. He made space for me to be where I was emotionally without me feeling bad about it. He created safety.

I had to work on learning to secure myself. I discovered a lot of old wounds and early core traumas that I began to heal. I also came to accept that the people I was with were treating me pretty terribly. Eventually I left them both, though one two years before the other.

I like the split between light and dark. It reminds me of neo-plasticism.

I was just discussing why so many nude photos are pretty but not terribly interesting. Then this one popped up and it’s wonderfully interesting, provocative. It causes you to pause and question what you see.

It just makes you tingle!

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ I’m really trying to capture the vulnerability and intimacy I’m experiencing. It becomes an amazing part of the experience to witness myself in these moment. Being able to see myself had been very healing.

At this point, no kidding

It’s based on power. It is always based on power. #Canada has been showing some political teeth and Canadians have been targeted, though still not as heavily as other marginalized #immigrant groups. This is a scary time.

I have experienced the privilege of a country that has been viewed as innocuous. However, my experience it isn’t entirely outside of the immigrant experience either. Privilege is based on which group or country or race is being demonized.

It’s being reported that many airports are requiring proof of #citizenship when traveling. There are also talks of #denaturalizing people. I’m a naturalized citizen. I’m from #Canada. I’m now going to travel with my passport no matter what, to prove citizenship. I hate that

I’m having anxiety about traveling due to fear of detainment…and the fear is not unfounded. When people have said being a Canadian immigrant isnt the same as ”other” immigrants, they were not wrong. It isn’t. I have experienced white privilege in my immigration experience.
