it's hard to be niche with a game like this. while Arknights.. while quite expensive to make I'm sure. Is a bit cheaper in terms of people hours or whatever to produce.. it doesn't need to earn as much money at a baseline.

Reverse 1999 isn't far from Mihoyo games in terms of audience, but it's writing is far closer to.. pop-cult Arknights.

From what I played there in terms of like characters That Add Friction, or contradictory political/social postions there really wasn't many. Only really 1.5 of the antagonists were ever even.. antagonistic.
