i felt the writing lacked some depth throughout all 6 seasons but the combination of the incredible cast and the stylized filming/editing make it very fun to watch. i would say it's worth trying out the first season for the cast and costume design and you can decide from there if you like it or not.
i really believe people should experience things for themselves and make up their own minds. so being vague, i'll say things escalate after season 3. i have some issues with the writing (throughout the entire show) but it's very bingeable. i had fun watching it and am curious about the movie.
