Para Snowboarding practice session called to a halt because a number of athletes have fallen at a particularly difficult section of the course.
At least one athlete taken away on a stretcher.
Several athletes told me it’s too dangerous.
Changes apparently being made by the organisers.

Cortina is a bit nice…

Genius from the BBC schedulers to put the Radio 2 Piano Room performances up against the Brit Awards, allowing us 40-somethings to believe we do actually still recognise some pop stars.

A special mention for Zhao Xintong’s wristwatch.

I’m quite keen on the Ski Mo.
Fair play for getting a sport into the Olympics that involves climbing some stairs.

One family dynasty helps, but Slovenia has some incredible mountains and ski jumps.

A dramatic end to the Men’s Super Team event at the ski jumping.
So many different emotions.

They take the rules seriously in ski jumping, folks.
Daniel Tschofenig of Austria was disqualified after the first round of the Large Hill last night (while lying 8th) because his boots were 4mm too big.

Walking back into the hotel tonight, the receptionist said a cheery β€˜Hello’.
I almost replied with β€˜Happy Valentine’s Day’ (just to be friendly). But then it made me think of Alan Partridge and the chocolate oranges with superficial damage.

You’re not meant to have favourites, but on a human level, it’s a great shame that Thomas Frank is not going to be a Premier League manager anymore (at least for a while)

They’re playing Europop dance remixes of Country Roads and Sweet Caroline at the ski jumping venue.

It’s occurred to me that the Tipping Point theme tune is far more dramatic/energetic than Tipping Point itself.
It could easily be used on Gladiators.

Andy Robertson doesn’t appear to be quite the player he once was.
But it feels like a bold & potentially reckless move by Liverpool to let him go.
Reds fans will be extremely sad to see him leave.

Facebook reminds me that on this day in 2017 a woman turned to me in the veg section of Sainsbury's and said "hopefully now we've left the EU we can have loose carrots that aren't wet"

The 2016 trend on Instagram, with people seemingly capable of instantly finding 16 photos of themselves from a decade ago, is highlighting that everyone else must have a better photo-filing system than me.
