I love the rubberhose animation style (I hope that's right) and I'm glad it's made a bit of a resurgence, this looks awesome!

Yes they can attack! The gameplay loop is very simple, find the Anchor, identify the ghost, get out alive.

Ghosts are normally completely invisible so you have to pay attention to paranormal activity to avoid getting caught

An Anchor allows you to see the ghost, a camera, a mirror, paint etc...

Using decals and particle effects I made some environmental conditions when looking through an Anchor, for example the world can be on fire, have this weird gooey substance and more.

This is purely visual but I think it was worth it!

This is very interesting, especially the perspective and parallax effects make it look like more than 2.5D
