This might have been a mistake... #gamedev #horrorgame
Someone suggested adding a Dreamcatcher to see ghosts, so I did! I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, a pretty easy one to use but cool nonetheless #gamedev #horrorgame
This old film camera is probably the most difficult Anchor so far #gamedev #horrorgame
I put a lot of time into the surface moving/warping effect. Will anyone stand still long enough to notice it? Maybe not but I'm happy with how it turned out #gamedev #horrorgame
Breaking this mirror illusion... #gamedev #horrorgame
I added a handheld mirror a while back but I decided to add a stationary full body mirror as well! #gamedev #indiegame

Finished this new way of seeing the ghost, I'm really happy with how these surface warping effects turned out! #gamedev

Exactly, although luckily everyone I've met who is a kind and reasonable person has the same opinion
I love the rubberhose animation style (I hope that's right) and I'm glad it's made a bit of a resurgence, this looks awesome!

Yes they can attack! The gameplay loop is very simple, find the Anchor, identify the ghost, get out alive.
Ghosts are normally completely invisible so you have to pay attention to paranormal activity to avoid getting caught
An Anchor allows you to see the ghost, a camera, a mirror, paint etc...

Testing the instant camera to identify ghosts, what should I add next? #gamedev
Using decals and particle effects I made some environmental conditions when looking through an Anchor, for example the world can be on fire, have this weird gooey substance and more.
This is purely visual but I think it was worth it!

This is very interesting, especially the perspective and parallax effects make it look like more than 2.5D
Hard to describe but I love the style
The blockout environment vs what it looks like now!

I'm making a game where paranormal activity happens dynamically based on the ghosts behavior.
The ghost is 100% invisible so flickering lights, a broken clock, footstep sounds or a TV turning on isn't just "atmosphere", it's the only warning you'll get...

I didn't notice the details in the smaller illustration, that's definitely a trawler net haha
Awesome design, I love how the back seems to be inspired by a Trawler!
I didn't know Bluesky also had #screenshotsaturday !
Happy to share what I'm working on :)
How am I just now realizing you draw your own thumbnails, that's so cool!
Imo they always stand out when I'm scrolling through yt
