The game itself (not including Marketing), cost me about $3k, and most of that was 3D assets.

It is expensive for sure, if you’re going to do it solo and have to rely on purchasing your 3D assets (as I mostly did). If you can find a 3D modeler willing to collaborate for a share of the profits instead of an upfront fee, that will save a lot.
