Thank you!
Thank you!
Gave a talk today for the first time since January 2025. It feels so good to be back on my feet and talk about my science again!
After three years, I finally submitted my manuscript today. The amount of relief I fee!!! π₯Ή
Itβs the wind!!!! Itβs relentless. And the wind tunnels π π₯Ήπ¨
I canβt believe Iβve gone from βI canβt stand Boston wintersβ to running in winter conditions. π₯ΉβοΈ
People are DYING. F the people who said weβd be βfineβ this time around. Itβs not fine. None of this is fine. I canβt believe people not only voted for this, but continue to support the oppressive fascist entities.
Man, I bet the NRA is going to be furious when they hear that jack-booted thugs from the federal government executed a law-abiding citizen for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a handgun.
Any second now, I'm sure.
He was a white guy, if that helps?
Hello? NRA?
Wish I could be there to have all the good food with you π
I withdrew my abstract due to health and extenuating circumstances. I hope everyone has a great #AMS2026!
Maybe next year.
The cautionary tales in the WWII books I read as a little girl are coming to fruition. Itβs terrifying and despicable.
We need radical change. I cannot believe history is repeating itself.
Life lately (outside of work): winter hiking and snow, lots of coffee and reading, making tortillas from scratch and marathon training π
Hi, everyone! Itβs been a minute since an update:
I am finishing my PhD working with Dr. Frank Keutsch in his research group while continuing to focus on stratospheric transport, chemistry & trends.
My journey has been unexpected to say the least. BUT! Iβm excited for this transition & to wrap up!
βWhy does that person need a mobility scooter, Iβve seen people who are worse and they soldier onβ
βWhy did they use a wheelchair at the airport & then walk onto the plane?β
βWhy do they have a disability placard they look fine!β
The answer to all is itβs none of your business.
Iβm very thankful to Stephanie Maltarich at @cires.colorado.edu for this writeup about efforts to reform how scientific fieldwork operates. To make it less hostile & exclusionary, and *actually* safer.
From our research talks @ AGU about this subject. The work is ongoing. #disability π§ͺ
Merry Christmas! π
Idk who needs to hear this but we grade assignments based on whether they actually understood the assignment and course materials???? Iβm ??????
Iβm really glad these practice recommendations were used in the process of my diagnosis.
I am even more glad that this can and will help others going through the same process π
One of the biggest lessons Iβve learned this semester: itβs ok to ask for help when advocating for yourself isnβt enough.
I am really thankful to have a supportive department and committee given extenuating circumstances and the very sudden move back to Cambridge (which I as NOT expecting).

Snow in Boston last week πβοΈ
A significant amount of anger and empathy stems from my personal experience with said institution.
My heart goes out to this graduate student. How traumatizing.
Just another day of academic institution failing to protect students that stand up for what is right. Iβd say Iβm shocked, but this continues to happen time and time again.
It's over.
Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

Iβd say Iβm surprised but I understand and strongly empathize
BREAKING: OU system fails those who stand up for what is right in said system
Some exciting updates:
1) I submitted my 1st manuscript to my co-authors after two years of unprecedented events!
2) I am now going to be advised under Eric Ray and Frank Keutsch (alongside Steve Wofsy) for the remainder of my PhD!
Excited to hit the ground running for the next year and a half!
Got my three beverages - including my @mathworks.bsky.social mug - and itβs time to rewrite my manuscript! ππ½
Day 4 of knitting every day for the American Cancer Society. Started my project all over because I am a perfectionist!
