We recorded this episode amongst the trees at the University of Tasmania's Sandy Bay campus as the autumn leaves were turning and drifting to the ground - a fitting backdrop for a conversation about landmark trees, forest storytelling, and science tourism in Tasmania! 🌳

Hi Zoe, yes you’re right! Permian sediments, about 250-300 million years old (containing lots and lots of lovely shell fossils 😍) and the dolerite intruded those sediments during the Jurassic period around 165 million years ago! You got it! Let me know if you need any more info on geology 😄🤓

Hi Zoe, I am a geology nerd who’s spent 5 years looking at the rocks in Tassie. I might get be able to help! What would you like to know? How it formed?
