Slow burn is wonderful, and my preference, mostly because of how it helps me flesh my OCs out in that context. My OCs are complex in their own right so having things move too quickly bores me. Vaya and Dreisseaux started as friends, and then feelings slowly developed

Vaya's pain tolerance is pretty high. He sat through a forehead tattoo for 4 hours when he was 19, he fights way past his physical limits, and indulges in the spiciest of foods

Strong arms embraced Dreisseaux as they sleepily rested upon his chest. So sleepy they were, so tenderly they rested. A soft smile pulled upon Vaya's lips, a softness in his eyes. He whispered.

"Let us rest together, love, come," before he would gently guide Dreisseaux to their shared bed.
