kind of crazy that if you have enough money and don't like what you see in the media, you can just buy up every film studio, news station, and social media app and change it

So despite the ICE abduction this morning, Columbia didn’t take any steps to cancel classes or move them remote. No idea how noncitizen community members are supposed to feel safe showing up to study or work today.

It's not getting much press coverage, but last month the Department of Education quietly stopped fighting a lawsuit challenging the infamous DEI "Dear Colleague" letter. This effectively means the letter is unenforceable. This is a huge win that deserves celebrating, and we can thank unions!

The second you leave this country for even a few days, you realize the place you call home is decaying at an almost exponential pace. The realization that you don't have to live like this is stark, and that nobody in power is taking tangible actions to fix it in your lifetime is even starker.

Men are not trash. YouTube video by Dr. Hilary Agro, PhD

NEW: Men are not trash.

Every time we say that, it helps the rich vampire perverts in the Epstein Files because it makes it seem like it's just inherent to men's nature to be predators. It's not!

I've been saddened today to learn that the University of Alberta is going down MAGA road and wants to abolish Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

So I've written to University President Bill Flanagan, warning him of the legal risks. Because the University may need suing.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

There’s an intensifying kind of threat to academic freedom – watchful students serving as informants Restricting academic freedom is often thought of in terms of universities telling professors what they can and cannot do or teach. But that isn’t the only scenario.

Professors fired for criticizing Charlie Kirk are returning to work After Charlie Kirk's death, a wave of universities fired or censured staffers for criticizing him. Months later, some professors are returning.

β€œIt's disappointing to see universities fold under pressure to terminate faculty for expressing themselves online, as if the First Amendment is an expediency to be discarded at a whim.”
