Lots of talk about oracy at #StrictlyRE today. Dialogue is the beating heart of RE, but it can’t just be ‘talk to the person next to you’ or ‘What do you think…’. Oracy has to be well planned and structured.

Please support us and the REC in our call for the Labour government to establish a National plan for RE, so that pupils are taught by well qualified and trained teachers. Contact your MP to urge them to champion this campaign and to come and speak to us at the Labour conference

Me too. I’ve so missed the face to face stuff. Will be lovely to see everyone again. It seems like a lifetime ago since we last had an in person conference

Good question. Most of the schools round here are 11-16. We don’t have a 6th form and pupils often say they would do RS A level if staying with us, but they seem to think doing it with a new teacher they don’t know is a risk.
