Oh look. Theyβve actually drawn a diagram for all the people stupid enough to need a bloody diagram.
Today is Small Business Saturday where we celebrate the UK's much-loved 5.45 million small businesses and encourages the nation to show their support, particularly by spending and shopping small.
Since becoming an MP, I often hear about the difficulty of getting a driving test here in #Guildford constituency.
I'm hoping to take part in a debate on this issue next week and want to hear from you. Please share your experiences at zoe.franklin.mp@parliament.uk.
π¨ BREAKING: Kent County Council is hurtling towards financial oblivion under Reform.
A shocking new council report reveals a projected budget black hole of Β£46.5 million for this year. The Reform Administration has completely lost control of our finances. πΆ
Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
It cannot be right that the government is still hounding carers for repayments, long after this scandal was exposed and even after we secured an independent review, but before it has been put right.
The government must pause repayments and get on with fixing the system so it works for carers.
And the sky was happy until it heard about the coastal storm thatβs coming.

"Sadly, in recent months, we've seen politicians scapegoat marginalised groups as a form of distraction politics.
It's our duty to correct these false narratives and focus on the genuine issues affecting constituencies, such as health care and social housing," -Β @eointennyson.bsky.social
Today marks one year since Labour won a landslide majority on just 34% of the vote.
No wonder trust in politics is so low when we keep getting governments that most people didn't choose.
There is an alternative: a proportional system where Parliament reflects how people voted. #PRnow
Why wouldn't HMG invest in pursuing tax revenue due? Another excellent thread on tax in the UK from @danneidle.bsky.social
Greg Jacksons (Octopus boss) long argued for regional energy pricing and how it could cut billions off costs, indeed he discussed it on my podcast, but I think this is the best explanation & analogy of it I've read (sadly it's paywalled)...

@bbc-politics.bsky.social @sophyridge.bsky.social @skynewsrss.bsky.social @channel4news.bsky.social In the real world, yet another Lib Dems victory on an increased share of the vote. Yet you still ignore @libdems.org.uk while hyping a far right company trading as a party with only 5 MP's
Thank you for providing this clarity on the situation you find yourself.
The Labour government is helping farmers and restoring nature by increasing funding available to farmers through the Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) scheme by Β£30m.
Farmers will receive higher payments for carrying out work like restoring habitats, protecting rare species and maintaining landscapes.
The fact that we have a Member of Parliament effectively endorsing and certainly normalising incitement to violence against a marginalised and racialised social group says everything about just how dangerous the spread of fascist logic in British society has become.
Dan Neidle has, righteously, been calling out tax lawyers who enrich themselves - and impoverish the public purse - giving bad tax advice. He's now being threatened with defamation proceedings - so we're backing him. goodlawproject.org/dan-neidle-i...
Pulling this one out the vaults βcos we could all do with a laugh. Iggy & Biggy Pop having a moment with Tweet Tweet Tweet π¦ 11 years on and still ruffling feathers.
One of the things that Blair's Labour got absolutely right was Sure Start - of course the Tories killed it. And sadly it's exactly the kind of state intervention that Starmer seems allergic to.

This is extraordinary: "emissions by data centres needed to train and deliver AI services are estimated at around 3 per cent of the global total, close to those created by the aviation industry."
"If I had elderly parents going into care, I would be absolutely π©ππ§π§πππππ."
As Starmer vows to crack down on net migration, @maitlis.bsky.social and @jonsopel1.bsky.social ask: who will care for our most vulnerable if there aren't enough workers to do the jobs nobody here wants?
Itβs #DeafAwarenessWeek! I'm proud to be the first MP to ask a question in BSL & support the BSL Bill, now law. It ensures deaf people are heard in policy & practice. Iβll always use my role to push for a fair and inclusive society and I think everyone should learn a little BSL!

"In the name of God, as others have said, please can we get aid into Gaza so that people will stop starving?"
Reform has lost their first councillor with Councillor Donna Edmunds who represents Hodnet in Shropshire resigning from the party.
